Bandcamp Confirms Final Two 2026 Fee-Free Fridays for November 6 and December 4
Bandcamp's final two Bandcamp Friday fee-waiver events of 2026 will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, and Friday, December 4, 2026, running from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time across the platform.
According to Chartlex's October 8, 2026 analysis of Bandcamp's 2026 schedule and help documentation, Bandcamp waives its standard 15 percent digital revenue share and 10 percent physical merch share during each 24-hour window, leaving only payment processor fees of 4 to 6 percent. On a $10 digital album sale, independent musicians net between $9.40 and $9.60 on Bandcamp Friday compared with $7.90 to $8.10 on a standard day. Across the eight-date 2026 calendar, the February 6 event generated $3.6 million for artists and pushed cumulative Bandcamp Friday payouts past $161 million by May 2026.
Chartlex also detailed four 2026 Bandcamp platform changes affecting independent releases: the January 13, 2026 'Keeping Bandcamp Human' ban on AI-generated music, a phased payout transition from PayPal to Stripe, upload fields for co-writer publishing credits added on February 25, 2026, and discounted EasyPost merch shipping labels launched on April 27, 2026.
