The Barrie Farmers' Market concluded its 2026 outdoor season on October 24, 2026, with a six-vendor Chili Cook-Off fundraiser and moved indoors into the Barrie City Hall Rotunda starting October 31, 2026, for its fall and winter schedule.

According to an October 29, 2026 Downtown Barrie BIA update from market manager Alison Oakes, the 180-year-old market recorded strong outdoor attendance throughout 2026 alongside Open Air Dunlop and Troubadour Festival Saturdays. Proceeds from the chili tasting flights on the final outdoor Saturday are being reinvested into upcoming market programming.

'Coming to see us indoors during the fall and winter months is pretty special because the Rotunda is the brick and mortar storefront for around 20+ local small businesses,' Oakes stated, noting that regional farmers continue supplying winter produce inside City Hall while weekend parking remains free in downtown Barrie municipal lots.
